For Us: Mindful Arts (4-10 years old)
Teacher: Ellis Enlow
Category of class: For Us: Mindful Arts
Class length: 30 mins
Ages: 4-10 years old with a caregiver
Date: Thursday, July 9th, 2020
Time: 12:00pm PST
It’s summer! Let’s have fun using readily available materials to enhance and explain mindfulness concepts by drawing, painting, or constructing. Both child and caregiver can learn playful, engaging strategies to develop the A,B,C’s of mindfulness – Attention, Balance, & Compassion – while having fun creating a mindfulness-related art project. Each class we’ll use different materials, so please have nearby: paper (plain or construction), something with which to draw (crayons, markers, or colored pencils), water colors, scissors, and tape. For Caregivers and Kids ages 4 – 10. Together.
Mindfulness lessons designated as “For Us” are for children with a caregiver. We kindly request that you leave your camera on for the safety of the children who are participating. If your camera isn’t on the facilitator will remind you to turn it on and if you’re unable to do so will remove you from class. Also for the safety of the children, if you join a class designated “For Us” without a child present we’ll ask you to leave class and join a class designated “For Me” (for teens or adults on their own). Thanks for your understanding.
Pay what you can afford
We want our mindfulness lessons to be available to everyone regardless of their ability to pay. That’s why our minimum payment is just $5. That amount, though, doesn’t cover our costs or provide opportunities for those who can’t pay anything to join a class. We encourage you to pay what you can afford with a suggested range of $5 to $25. And, of course, contact us if you’re unable to pay anything so we can accommodate you.
